Machining
and Mold-Making
At Reuel, we operate a complete
in-house machine shop with
mold-making capabilities.
Our machine shop is fully
equipped to perform precision
machining operations using the
latest technologies and
equipment, from CNC milling and
turning to Electrical Discharge
Machining. Our CNC
machining processes provide the
necessary accuracy and
production capacity for
high-volume, close tolerance
turning and milling as well as
single part or low volume
prototype runs
An experienced staff of tool and
die makers with complete CNC and
wire EDM machining equipment,
offer a full range of mold
making capabilities. Our
CAD/CAM systems allow us to
provide high-quality, accurate
drawings for modeling and mold
design as well as tool path
creation. All mold
variations, from “soft tool” on
prototype molds, to hardened
tool steel production molds, are
available.

Welding, Fabrication, and Paint
Our fabrication department is equipped
to handle a wide variety of product
applications. We primarily build
large switchgear enclosures, but
routinely make products ranging from
small mounting brackets to large scale
manufacturing equipment. Our
equipment includes a CNC punch press,
CNC
waterjet,
CNC plasma cutter, several CNC press
brakes, a CNC shear, as well as a number
of manual ironworkers, saws, and brakes.
We have manufactured both bolt-together
and welded construction enclosures.
We also have a powder coat paint line
for applying a high quality durable
finish to all our fabricated products.

Molding
We specialize in molding cycloaliphatic
epoxy resin materials using the
automatic pressure gelation process.
We have ten clamping presses ranging in
various sizes.
Our largest press has a platen size of
48” x 60” and can mold parts weighing as
much as 150 lbs. Our most recent
clamping press was custom designed and
built in-house for a specific customer
application.
We perform our own compounding
and have the ability to mix our
own molding resins. We can
formulate proprietary resin
systems best suited to the
customer’s product. We
also have the capability to
X-ray inspect, thermal cycle
test, and high voltage test our
components to inspect for
defects.

Engineering & Design
Our engineering team is dedicated to
providing support to our customers.
Our experienced staff includes
electrical, mechanical, and chemical
engineering specialists. The
experience of our staff, combined with
our broad product offering, provides
unique insight into solving many of the
design problems
unique
to the electrical equipment industry.
At Reuel, we
work closely with our customers to find
the best solutions for their specific
applications. Our support can
include designing special features up to
designing and building complete systems.
We also have a range of testing
capabilities to conduct many design and
performance tests during the development
phase.
Reuel uses the latest
engineering software to assist
in our design. Our
engineering and design team is
equipped with the latest CAD
capability to provide accurate
and detailed drawings. We
make full use of Autodesk
Inventor ® 3-D solid-model
design program. This capability
allows us to provide our
customers with highly detailed
3-D visual representations of
the products we produce before
we manufacture them. In
addition to Inventor, we also
use AutoCAD and Solid Works.
Our CAD/CAM programming
capability allows us to quickly
translate drawings from design
to our manufacturing processes.
In addition
to our CAD capabilities and software, we
also use various circuit simulation and
data acquisition packages for
electrical and
electronics design and testing.

Testing
Testing is an integral part of our
manufacturing process. We perform
various mechanical, chemical, and
electrical tests on our products both
during the design phase and as
production quality checks.
We routinely X-ray inspect our molded
parts for voids or defects. We can
perform thermal testing in our thermal
cycling chamber for temperatures ranging
from -60°C to 180°C. Our
electrical testing capabilities include
AC dielectric up to 100kV, Basic Impulse
Level (BIL) up to 150kV, continuous
current to 10kA DC or 5kA AC,
transformer-rectifier, heat run testing
up to 3 MW. Using our mechanical
test equipment, we can perform axial
tension, compression, and 3 point beam,
as well as cantilever loading. |
